5 Ways to Motivate Yourself When You’re on a Keto Diet

The ketogenic diet, which requires a high amount of fat and very little amount of carbohydrates in your meals, has been proven effective in those who wanted to lose weight.

If you've just have started the keto diet recently, you may have been experiencing energy gap, fatigue, and difficulty in getting into ketosis and managing cravings.

These are common if you’ve adopted a new diet since your body may take some time to adjust. It’s at this stage where you need the support of an exogenous ketones supplement like Keto BHB.

Exogenous ketones promote faster ketosis, help curb your cravings, and provide you with sustained energy. Keto BHB will help you go through your weight loss journey a lot easier and give you real results in no time.

But as days go by, your motivation might dwindle when triggers (especially when there’s a feast!) are everywhere. Sometimes, you’ll get too lazy to work out and that’s understandable.

How do you motivate yourself when you’re caught in these situations? We’ve got some tips for you:

Focus on your goal

Set an attainable and specific goal. Let’s say you want to fit into your favorite old pair of jeans again or lose 25 pounds before your wedding day.

If you’re getting unmotivated, don’t give up on your journey, just take a break. Ask yourself what will happen if you stop your diet now? How will you look and feel a year from now? What will happen to your health?

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Focus on your goal and the motivation you think you’re losing will come back naturally.

Have fun creating your meal plan

Find exciting, delicious, but easy to prepare recipes. Easy recipes are less taxing, too. So to avoid that overwhelming feeling in planning your meals, focus on simple recipes.

Meal planning may start to become monotonous if you’ve been doing it for weeks. Make it less boring by getting a pretty planner or having a creative menu board. Colorful ingredients can also do the trick so try to be creative in your recipe ideas as well.

If you have family members or friends who are also on keto, ask them to join you for a weekly meal planning. You can do groceries together, too. That would be more fun to have company while building a whole week of meals.

Create a fitness routine you’ll enjoy

Know what type of exercise fits your diet and goals. Obviously, you have to choose fitness routines that don’t require burning too much carbs. Experts suggest low-intensity cardio workouts like jogging or cycling and weightlifting for strength training.

If you often find yourself feeling too lazy to go to the gym or even do at-home workouts, find an activity that you enjoy doing and at the same time hit your weightloss goal. Having a fitness buddy can also help - just find someone you know will motivate you!

Find your inspiration

Read keto success stories every day if you must. Follow influencers on Instagram who are on a keto diet and believe that if they can do it, then you can do it, too.

Remember that it takes a lot of focus and hard work in seeing real results. When you’re on a restricted diet, try not to think that you’re depriving yourself just because you can’t eat your favorite food.

People who became successful in losing weight because of their keto diet made a lot of sacrifices, too. Just look at the brighter side of things. Again, focus on your goal and once you get there, it will all pay off.

Keep track of your progress

Have a progress journal. Take a photo of yourself every week or every month to see how much you’ve changed.

Tracking your progress also helps you determine if your meal plans and fitness routines are working for you. See what you can improve and what works just fine.

Documenting your journey and looking at it every day can lift your spirit instantly. You’re doing a great job!

Seeing your progress should make you want to keep improving. Don’t stop once you hit your target number on the scale.

Feeling motivated again? That’s great! Just keep believing in yourself and this ketogenic lifestyle will soon be worth it. :)
